Upgrade for Reef Octopus 150 pump?

I have a Reef Octopus 150 Skimmer with the OTP 200o pump with the older style(white impellar).

I am looking into options that increase skimmer effectiveness.

I see my options as:

1) New style (yellow) factory Impeller $25

2) Upgrade pump assembly
a) Sicce PSK600 $90
b) Bubble Blaster 1000 $140

3)New Skimmer-Cant afford this option!

My question is if the extra cost and effort of installing and fitting a new pump is worth it?

Will it make the skimmer that much better or just throw the new impeller in there and call it a day?

Yes, but you want to get the Bubbleblaster 2000. This turns your 150 into an SRO 2000, by having the 6" body. They almost have the same dimensions. You also get a 3 year warranty with the pump. I really like mine.
