upgrade kit = alpha doesn't turn on?

edit: got it to work. Apparently you can't screw the white piece all the way back flat to the pump or the upgrade kit is too short (as figured by the looks) and the prop can't turn. I also had to unscrew the volute a turn or it touches the prop.

Correct, the white venturi will be pushed up against the impeller, not letting it spin. It needs be slightly turned out.
