Upgrading lighting

I'm going to be upgrading the lighting on my 90 gallon (24"H x 18"D x 48"L) from 440W URI VHO's, 2 actinic and 2 12 000K, to 6 X 54W T5's with IC SLR reflectors driven by IC 660's. I plan on running 2 ATI aquablue's, 2 blue+, and 2 actinic 03s. I was wondering what is the best way to acclimate all my corals to this new lighting and if the shift in the overall spectrum of the lights would cause any problems because it's going to be a lot more blue than before. thanks.

Hi

I just switched from PC to T-5 and I am aclimating with egg crate and window screen material. I have egg crate on the top of the tank with 4 layers of window screen and I am taking out 1 screen every week. I did not mess with the photo period much. T-5 have been extremely bright and will bleech your corals even at the bottom of the tank. I have a big 12-head frog spawn that has lost some pigmentation color from its tips and turned white. So patience is the key when it come aclimation. I have not lost a single coral so far. I am down to two layers.
Good Luck.

Why?

I still havent found an LPS coral that doesnt look better under less light.

good luck witht the new lights dont let profesional naysayers get you down i think upgrading to the t5s will be very good for you and now you will be able to keep clams and sps as well as lps whatever you like.

t5>>>>>>>>>PC t5 is far greater than pc but t5 needs individual reflectors to get the power from them
