Hi. I need to upgrade my return pump to handle a JBJ 1/4HP chiller. Want to make sure everything is ok before purchasing.
Currently have ~130gal total water volume. My Sicce Syncra 4 (952GPH) can barely handle my return + 2 reactors. Not strong enough to run a chiller through this pump. I'm thinking about upgrading to Syncra 5.
How much flow does the chiller need? JBJ specs shows flow rate of 480-1920 GPH. Does everyone leave their chiller with max flow? If so, I don't think a Syncra 5 will make any difference.
I have my return pipe T'd off already. Will use that to pump water into chiller, and back back into sump. Would prefer Sicce brand because it is very quiet. Not sure if a Sicce HF10 is required. seems abit over kill with 2500GPH.
