Upgrading tanks

So I have the opportunity to gert a IM Nuvo 20 with the stand for a steal so I'm jumping at that. Thing is my first tank is only 2 1/2 months old. I'll be wanting to swap everything over except the sand and adding more rock. What would be the best way of going about this. I plan on using dead rock so I can have time to really plan out my aquascape better. Pic is my current tank.

Best way. Buy dry reef rock or caribsea life rock. Neither will cause a spike.
You will want to use your existing rocks with these as it provides the biofilter.
All new rock would need to be precured or you will have a cycle

I have used the caribsea life rock and really like it.

You will want to mix new saltwater to fill up the remaining amount for the new tank. Or 50% worth.

Have buckets ready.

Siphon some water into a bucket, place corals and fish in it with a powerhead and heater

Siphon some more water into another bucket place exiting rock in it

Try not to disturb the old sand too much.

Put new sand in tank (i prefer my rock on the glass then add the sand for structural safety)

Add water rocks were in and rocks, aquascape

Add water, fish, and corals

Yeah dry rock not dead my bad. I planned on using the rock I have now but figuring an aquascape will be more of a challenge.
