Upgrading to a 180

I am upgrading from a 65g to a 180g this weekend! I will be moving over my live rock, sand, and as much current tank water as possible. I will also be adding additional dry rock and new sand to the 180. I do not really have anything to do with my live stock during this transition and am a bit concerned about a tank cycle after the move. I assume I will get a bit of an ammonia spike but i cant imagine that the bioload of my 65g would be enough to cause a high enough spike in a 180g + 55g sump to harm the fish.

I will be running a large skimmer, feed lightly, and make water changes often for the first few weeks. I guess i will see what happens.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you have substrate in your existing 65 gal tank I suggest you DO NOT re-use it. Get all new sand and rinse it well before adding to your new tank. Old sand will probably be full of crap and disturbing this will release far more pollutants than anything beneficial you might bring over.

Also, take advantage of the move to shake as much old detritus off your existing rock as you can before transferring it to your new tank.
