UPS Mistake

I discovered my MH bulb died on me Thursday night. Ordered one today for delivery on Saturday.

Got the shipment info in the afternoon and it said "scheduled delivery date of 08/20/2007" which is Monday.

I called and spoke with Luke who said "It says it's going out Saturday delivery".

After not looking into it any further he said "The tracking number will show the confirmed date at around 6 o'clock on their website".

"When do you close?"

"6 o'clock"

"What are your hours tomorrow?"

"We don't answer the phone tomorrow"

According to UPS tracking my bulb won't be here until Monday

Hopefully someone can look into this sometime SOON since you don't answer the phone on Saturdays.

Hi,

I confirmed that we did ship your package UPS Saturday delivery. This appears to just be a tracking report error only. If you notice in "service type" it says undefined. That is why it's not reporting the correct delivery day. So it should still be there Saturday for you.
 
Well, unfortunately it's look like everything was entered correctly on our end. I just looked through the entire order and UPS history with it, and it shows that we sent the package for a Saturday delivery to you. The only thing I can figure out is that UPS dropped the ball, and not us. I can call them for you first thing Monday morning to get everything resolved and file a claim for service failure through UPS.

Looks like Jason and I are doing double duty on this. Please contact us if the package does not get delivered on Saturday and we'll get the claim put in.

Well the package made it to Gurnee, IL but still shows the 20th as the delivery date.

We'll have to see if it shows up today.
 
Stupid UPS,

They just dropped it off even though their site still shows Monday delivery.

And of course they dropped it off 10 minutes after I installed a spare bulb a friend of mine luckily had.

Oh well, everything is good, I was losing my mind worrying about this.
