Im not sure if this is the forum for urchins, but I was wondering if its okay for hair algae of some sort to be growing on the spines of a pencil urchin. Is there some sort of creature that I can put in the tank that would eat that or is it good for the urchin?
I don't think I can answer your question, but I seem to recall most pencil urchins being "hairy" looking. He might be picking it up on purpose for camo too.
