urchin injured?

I just noticed that my pin cushion urchin is missed a patch of skin. It's been a couple days and it's still moving around and eating, but I thought this would be a really bad sign. Has anyone else experienced this before?

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take any pictures, but it looks like a 1/4" by 1/16" chunk of skin is missing.

Hum... I guess this hasn't been seen by many people.

Anyhow, in case someone may need this info down the road... My urchin still seems to be doing pretty well. As for the scar, it looks like it may be getting better. It's too soon to say at this point, but I'm really hoping that it makes a full recovery.
