Urchin trouble

Unfortunately I am away from my tank so I cannot give alot of details, but I have been told that my seaurchin has been looking rather sick or even dying.

Basically the urchin hasn't been moving much at all over the past few days. The tank is over 3 years old but the urchin is relatively new, maybe 1 or 2 months in my tank.

I'm curious if there is anything I should ask the person who is caring for the tank to due while I am away.

Is there any good way to tell if an urchin is dying or is it normal for them to not move for several days in a row.

Normally it means that their health is declining if they begin to lose spines. Somtimes my tuxedo urchin doesn't move a lot but his spines still move so I know that he is alive.

Well the urchin died. I'm suprised at how quickly he passed but I'm not sure what did him in as I was out of town when he expired.

How long can the urchin usually go before they starve? I'm thinking he might have starved because I have almost no algae in my tank and I've only seen him occationally try to eat the nori I put in the tank for my fish.
