Urchin Vs Powerhead/Gyre

Hi all,

I have a tuxedo urchin that appears to be fascinated with my gyre at the moment. Moved it off the cable the other day and its just worked its way aroud the tank and back up on to the bottom of the unit near the intakes.

Anyone else have any powerhead related issues with their urchins and any possible solutions to keep them safe? I don't think it would kill it but would certainly wipe out a few tube feet which I would rather avoid.

I do have the little foam protectors that came with the gyre which may solve it but all the food gets stuck to them so i'm hesitant to use.

I have never had one of my 3 urchins move to the powerheads themselves. But I have to cover the cords. They chew on them.

Mine has left some scrape marks on the cord but as its only small hasn't damaged it (yet!).

What do you use to cover your cords? Was thinking some type of cable duct or tidy might do the trick if I can find one in tank friendly plastic.
