urchin with seahorses?

i'm gettin some green algae in my aquapod... and i really dont have anything to "knock" over... can i put an urchin in there? hows the compatibility with seahorses.. .it'll be an urchin with sharp spines... not the pencil / dulll spine one.

why dont you get some turbos/cerith/astrea snails? they do the same thing also

urchins won't really go for the algae, unless u starve them. i've found that most urchins are scavengers

since i feed my SH tank daily with quite a few left over smaller pieces, i think i'll get snails and urchins

You could get a pencil urchin with seahorses but the rest of them are not suitbale tankmates. Check the library at seahorse.org They have an entire tank mate list.

Urchins only belong in glass tanks. They tear up anything else. I can post pics if you need evidence. Heh.
Aside from that, I dont consider the 2 I have useful for algae cleanup. As stated above, they are mostly scavengers.
