can anyone tell my if it is normal for my sea urchin to shed spine ? And if it is not then what could be wrong?

Sometimes I have seen my urchins break spines, but not actually fall out. I would check water peramaters.

No it's not normal for them to shed spines. What are your parameters, especially salinity?
