Big and Evil
I need to know if I should try to move my squamosa clam to see if anything is on its underside. I am heading home in 15 minutes to check on it, and I think it is anchored to the tank bottom thru the sand, but according to my wife it is gaping a ton and not protruding its mantel over the shell. See my other thread in this forum from this morning if you need more details.

Clams seem to go downhill pretty quick once things turn. I had a small 3" Crocea that was doing great one day (or so I thought) and the next day had literally melted into his shell. So, if your is going downhill, perhaps you should try to get the foot off the bottom without tearing it (your clam will surely die if the foot is torn) and check for snails, etc.
