Urgent Trigger question!

I just acclimated a 4in. Golden Heart Trigger into my species only tank. The trigger looked perfectly healthy at the LFS...Very fat...eating well....it had been there for 2 months before I bought him. Anyways in my tank now it looks as if he may have cloudly eyes. Before the purchase I inspected the fish VERY closely and I did not see anything wrong with its eyes. Also, the LFS I purchased him from is a very repectable place.....so I do not think* I was sold a sick fish on purpose.

The lighting at the LFS was nothing more than just stock florecent tubes. On my FOWLR I am running two T5's........I hope this is just the reflection or glare off of my lights on its eyes? I have seen other pics of GHT and they have the same looking reflection....I just want to make sure its not sick.

Some fish have a sheen to their eyes such as the blueline and the queen. Undulates have a light one too if hit by the right angle. I believe the ght had a bronze look. Here is a close shot of the eye of the one I had. Mine didn't live more than 2 weeks.

Emerald is fine. I don't know why it died. It was always in hiding, I had to target feed. I've seen smaller triggers that are tanked with larger triggers die from stress. I believe this was that case even though it wasn't chased or touched. The unseen stress got it.

Well this one was by himself in the tank and hes now freely swimming about the tank giving the hermits I hoped he wouldnt kill hell lol. I also just fed him some krill and he readily swam right up to me. I hope nothing bad happens I'm already super attached.

No attachments in this hobby, not for 2 months is my rule. Sounds like your fish is doing just fine though. So relax and enjoy the fish.

Then in 2 months get attached!

Sorry to be off topic, but the same thing happened to my first picasso. He went through QT fine, was healthy, then found a crevice in the LR, didn't come out more than a few inches, and died after a few days. The next one did great from the start, and is a great addition.

I had the same situation with blue line- after couple of days of being very shy he passed away without any sign of illness.

We have no attachment at all to our fish this is a hobby with fish for us so I have no problems losing fish or dogs or cats etc. I guess some people grow really attached to their pets we just seem to be different everyone is.
