USB over Cat5 extenders

Just wondering if anyone has tried connecting Apex devices over Cat5 using USB over Cat5 extenders.

I'm running one 29 up in my daughter's room upstairs and want to setup my 58 downstairs running off the same Apex system with some additional components. USB would be possible but difficult. Besides, I already have Cat5 running through the whole house.
Thoughts?

The AquaBus connector is USB, but the bus is not, and will tend to destroy any USB device that you plug into it.

So, in short, no.

I would think of u just used.cat5 with USB ends to make it it might work as long is there is no actual device used in between that is USB in the sense of computer world.
