So after working hard on rejuvenating this used 180 acrylic tank I put water in it to compare clarity and I want to know if you guys think this is an issue... pic 1 is looking through the 180 and the clearer picture is looking through the sump..keep in mind we are looking from the back of the tank to the front..i will be painting the back black.
The tank needed a lot of work and had haze..i sanded it and buffed and this is the best its gonna look..

Looks pretty clear to me in the pic. I’m assuming the sump acrylic is thinner than the tank acrylic so I’d expect some more clarity from the sump on top of it being newer as you said.

Project was probably quite an effort. Well done.

Great work. Looks pretty clean to me.
Did you use any product, like novus?

More than good enough for me! Just to see a tank that size, and perhaps really old, without a hint of seepage around it is remarkable. Have you tried putting lights over the top to have a look while it's full?

Acrylic tanks are some of the most robust I've seen.

I knew a guy with a 7 foot full of fresh water tank busters.

Only thing is cleaning them is horrid - scratches and sand catching.
