Used Sand Turning Black

Alright I just switch over to my new 72 gallon about 2 weeks ago. The sand that was giving to me was from an established Tank for over 2 years I believe. When I got the tank the sand was still in the tank with water still in it. it sat for about a week till I had the time to rinse all the waste or detrius out. Well that took awhile to do. After cleaning and putting it back into the tank I started switching everything over. I put the sand in my established tank over it. Today when I was cleaning the Refugium out I notice under the Tank that it was turning Black. Then I notice on the side of the Tank it was also turning black. Yesterday I moved around on one my LR and the bottom of it was also Turning Black it also looks like if it Raw Sewage in the Tank. Should I be worried about it? or should I just leave it and let nature take it's course? Or Change it all out completely? Let me know...

I think it is good bacteria . I have it also but lets see what others say.

Yeah I was told it was Bacteria to but water changes should take care if it...

i think black areas are bad. those are the spots you dont want to disturb.

Normal new tank syndrome. Its not abnormal at all. No worries keep up your water changes and don't go crazy stocking right away. You are low on live rock don't push your luck

Yeah I just added a Piece 10 lbs more I forgot update my total to a whole 10LBS..LOL... But still get another Piece here and there so Hopefully I'll have close to 90 at least... Don't want to much LR need swimming room for fish

from what ive read your supposed to mix new sand into old sand and not just cover it up. and im pretty sure generally things turning black isnt very good....
