Uses for (old, nasty) Used Sand

I am in the process of tearing down my 150DT and 120 refugium and will have in excess of #300 sugar fine sand. I have no intention of using it again in another system, but before I just throw it in a dumpster, is the ANYTHING I can use it for?

I suppose I could maybe spread it on my vegetable beds - Central Ohio has no shortage of clay that needs to be broken up. Anything else???

All suggestions welcome.

That's a lot of sand.
I wonder if you could bleach it up and give it to a school or charity for sand boxes. I used to work with autistic kids and they loooved to calm down that way. But the sand would get all boogery after a few months.

Or the garden. If it's absorbed some nutrients it might even fertilize it :D

Can you muratic bath substrate? I have 80lbs in a couple buckets that I've been considering trying that with.

some old sand + rubber made = nitrate eating DSB... then level the lawn with the rest... assuming its 'recently' retired, should be good for fertilizing too! :D

I'll be driving to Grove City for work in a few weeks, I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I have plans for a good-sized RDSB with my next build. I can wash it myself. Pitch me a note if you want to get rid of it.

Garden is what I do. Will help buffer (raise) pH a little too. Just don't use for your blueberries or other acid loving plants.
