using a tank that had an iguana in it

good afternoon fellow reefers.

im thinking about setting up a quarantine tank or a frag tank. my buddy is willing to give me his tank which had an iguanna in it.

can i safely use this if i clean it out? if yes, what do i clean this with?

yeah thats how i cleaned my skimmer..guess its ok for this too ;]

just put ro water and run my usual API test kit or some other special tests?

Eguanas pee, and pee contains ammonia as ammonia nitrogen. If you do use it watch out for ammonia.

I have a 75 that was a reptile tank before I bought it. I had no problems after setup. I used water with a little bleach, let it dry out until the smell was gone and then gave it one last rinse with fresh tap water. All is well.
