Has anyone tried to make a sump using acrylic as the bottom of the sump and glass for the sides and divider? Any problems that might occur? I have a 1/2 acrylic piece I was wanting to use for the base and make the sides and dividers out of glass. Thanks.
That's asking for trouble. Acrylic doesn't bond to glass very well. Just for dividers it would probably be fine, but I wouldn't mix any exterior walls, make them either all glass or all acrylic.
Yep, not a good idea for exterior walls. Keep it all glass or acrylic but not a combination. However, if just needing baffle type area, it should be fine. Absolute worst case if it failed water stays inside the sump
