Using Aluminum for a Hood

Im building a hood and would like to use some 1"x1" aluminum bar stock to mount my light from. Does anyone foresee and issue using aluminum?

Powdercoating would help it from oxidizing

80-20 comes anodized. Depending on what you're planning and the tooling you have on hand it may be easier to work with.
