using chemi pure elite

I am using chemi pure elite to help with my high phosphate problem (all other water parameters are good). I am somewhat reluctant to use unatural remedies to problems as there is usually a downside. Can anyone think of a downside to using it or has anyone had a successful tank using it indefinately? By the way I have a 65 gallon FOWLR, shrimp, crabs etc.. which I will hopefully turn into a reef in the coming months.

If phosphates are the only problem i would look into a phosphate reactor with phosban. This will remove more phosphate and will work quicker

I run Chemi pure and change every 4 months. I have a 150 reef. No problems, I keep it in one of my intakes in my sump. Do not use any other chemical bags with it.
