Using same testers for Alk. and Calcium

Will using the same test vile and syringe for testing alkalinity and calcium from the Salifert test kits result in false readings? I washed the testers out with fresh water but couldn't remember which viles and syringe went to which test kit so at this point I'm sure I've used the same testers for both alk. and calcium. So, my question is does plastic hold residue over time even if they are washed out with fresh water? Hope this makes sense.

Switching the syringes might cause issues. I'd check in the Salifert forum for help with this situation.

I'd rinse them carefully and label them, so they aren't switched in the future. I'd guess you're okay, but a LFS might be able to double-check your kits for you.

I agree. Rinse them well now and then keep track. I believe that there can be problems from traces of contaminants from previous tests, but careful rinsing should make it OK.
