Using the overflow

Does anyone use the overflow area to stick a bag of GFO or charcoal? I have way better flow in there than the under stand sump. With a white bag I don't think it would be noticed.

Oh, i don't know if i'd put anything in the overflow. I have enough nightmares when i sleep....

I don't put anything in the overflows either. Just too anxious about a potential clog.
