using USB getting communication error

When I go into maintenance and hit active I get a communications error? Why is this and how can I get around this?

what software? what firmware? what usb driver? is it direct usb to usb?

4.08 on firmware. The tank its on is at my office so I can check he other stuff tomorrow. On the controller though the USB cable plugs from it to my PC. I use the rs232 or whatever it is for the display screen.

Actually i was wrong firmware is 4.05. So should I download the 5.0?

install fimware 5.0M then install software 5.08 or is it 9 now

Think I did both today. Will have to check on software though.
