Using waste water from RODI to wash clothes question

I have been using my waste water to wash clothes for several years. Now I need to buy a new washing machine and it seems that they all have a lid lock on them. From what I read, the washing machines automatically empty the water if the lid is not closed. Will the washing machine retain the water in it if I don't start the load or does it automatically drain the water when my waste water goes into the machine? Is there anyone else with a newer washing machine using their waste water to wash clothes? Thanks!

I use my waste water for my washing machine. Only once did the machine drain all my water. I'm going to assume there is a float or something that normally stops the washer from over filling. In my case I filled the water level once like 3/4 and put my clothes in and my washer wouldn't start until it finished emptying all of it lol. Now I only full it like 1/4 to 1/2

I've been having the same situation with our new washer
I think I'll try half filling the washer

John I think I'm on 1 hell of a long bender
Last time I saw you your keg somehow went empty
and then the vodka
then we ran out of ammo, did I hit the target?

I found a solution for my problem. Bought a Speedqueen washing machine. It is the only washer out there that does not have any computers, sensors, lid locks etc. It is like the old fashion machines, durable, long lasting and made in the U.S. of A! :)
