UV and Ich

How effective are UV sterilizers at ridding a tank of ich? Do they only work as a preventative or can they be used as treatment?

A UV sterilzer will only kill or render harmless anything that passes through it. So as a preventive yes. As a teatment no. UV's will do nothing for already infected fish.
