UV and ick

Hello, what are some opinions about UV and Ick, will a UV help get rid of the Ick??? I have heard different thoughts on this....Please post some opinions.....TY B.B.H.Tang

uv can only reduce the amount of ick it will never get rid of it.

Yes, UV has the ability to kill the free swimming stage of the parasite and the parasite has to swim under/close to the light for it to be effective.

It could help some but like andrew said it will not cure ich or any other parasite nor will it eliminate from your display tank.
