I'm running the Dual-Core Hyper Violet LED's in my fixture. What drove me to add them was that on my daughter's tank she is running the Maxspect R420R. It has them and her coral have gone crazy with growth. That began my investigation being that my fixture (a DIY) contains basically the same LEDs as her Maxpect minus the violets. The only Dual-Cores that I could find that could handle 1A were on StevesLeds. I believe they are the same, just under a different manufactures name. Being that both EpiLED and SemiLEDs are Chinese, I'm guessing they are the same and likely from the same plant.
Since I have added them to my fixture (about a week now), at a minimum several of the coral have opened up more. A couple more weeks and I'll be able to really report on the effects.
