UV lite and refugium

I will be plumbing my basement sump soon and want to get a refugium hooked up.

I also have a UV lite which will hooked into the system after the return pump, some of the fug water will be going through the lite is this OK?

If not how should I plumb the sump so I can get the goodies from the fug to my display tank and miss the lite?

Had an Idea
What if I run the UV from a seperate pump from the sump to return to the sump?
