uv sterilizer and caulpera

i was thinking about getting a UV sterilizer... will that affect my mounds of diff. caulpera algaes i have ??

not at all . A uv's light is contained inside itself and would have no effect on your algaes.

I disagree. It will make yuor skimmer more efficient, so will reduce the ammount of nutrients available to the algae. Consiquently, it is at mote risk of crashing.
