UV Sterilizer and Reef tanks

I'm considering adding a small UV Sterilizer to my system as a proactive method for fish health. I eventually plan on having a large fish load and try my best now thru QT to make sure each fish is healthy before they enter the display tank. With that said I'm of the opinion that no matter what you do those little bast$%# can make it into the DT. Last thing I want is to add a fish that ends up taking out half my DT fish in a week. The Sterilizer will be on a controller that only runs a couple hours a day. Is this a good idea or bad? Anybody have any luck doing this?

Thanks

thanks.... don't have the ability to add a closed loop, but could easly add to my return plumbing. only problem i could see would be not getting enought gph thru it. i know there is a "sweet spot" in terms of gph to kill unwanted pests and not kill all the good. again i tend to go a little over board at times and i don't want to do something that could hurt my over all system

also love that TOTM
