Just curious if anyone runs one on their seahorse tank? If so, do you notice any difference in seahorse health & water quality?
Thanks.

I have run a UV for the last couple years. In that time period I have seen no disease in my tank. The water also seems to be clearer. There has been less problems with algae. I run a fuval 304 as a prefilter to the skimmer. I also run the skimmer at a lower flow rate to give maximuim exposure time to kill parasites.

IMO they are great add ons for seahorse tanks.

Hi,
I have a 25 watt on 90 gallons.
Can't say if it makes a dif as I have always had it.
I do know uv kills some bacteria. It also kills some good stuff in the process.
I never found a definitive answer.
I just decided that whatever doesn't hurt the horses makes them stronger.
