UV Sterilizer

So I purchased a Coralife uv sterilizer, 250 gallon rating for my 75 (yes I know, overkill.) Are there any drawbacks to running that 24/7? I don't have it setup yet because I've just been really busy working. Thanks for your input!

Anyone? Just need to know if it will negatively affect my tank to run this 24/7.

IMO no, I do not believe that you will notice any negative effects from running 24/7 other than a higher electric bill. Some may disagree as it is a bit of a touchy subject. I do run mine 24/7 and it is significantly overrated as it is designed for ponds and have yet to only see positives and no negatives.

I run my 24/7, but I do noticed a heat increase.

I have it programmed, that my PLC is to shut UV off, if temps gets too high.

It also plumbed to my drain, not to the main pump.
So no head loss.
