Vacation Mishap

I was away on vacation the week of June 20th - and usually my tank runs pretty well by itself (with auto topoff and auto fish feeder set up). Alas, I guess it was real hot around here and because we weren't home, it was hot in the house and the temp in the tank soared killing several corals of mine - including a huge orange monti Cap and two large pink birdnest corals plus I think a couple green slimers, a few frogspawn and a few other things. Made me sick to see it when I got home - luckily looks like i was home in time to save everything else. Some are still not back to normal but hopefully are just slow in recovering. Not sure why my orange monti died and my green one seems to have survived but . .

I guess lesson learned is to go on vacation in March when we usually do when the heat is not an issue here

Anyway, if anyone has some Orange or purple or Other Monti Cap frags and any pink birdsnest or green slimer frags available, let me know as I would like to try and replace what I lost when I can. Its a shame because the tank was really thriving and I was going to have to clear out some room because of some excellent growth. Now, alas, . . .

Did you have your a/c off when you were away?

I always leave mine running just as if we were home.

I can definitely get you some purple and orange monticaps. Also should be able to get you a small slimer frag. The green slimer will have to wait until I move it to it's new spot in the tank, so that's probably about a week, but I'm sure I can get it then if you're interested.
