Hey guys,
Was given a frag of these. But was wondering as for how much light and flow do they like.It was a freebie on and order I did.But not sure on placement:confused:
Thanks for any input here.

depending on lighting.. start at bottom.. and work your way up untill you find a "sweet spot" they will let you know..

I agree with Friday to start at the bottom. You can move them up after a week. Pay attention to see if they close or lose color. I have some tubbs that I placed low and they hated it and let me know by closing up. I placed them higher with more current and they are starting to spread onto the surrounding rock.

Sorry guys it's a 1 polyp frag, not much of a pic for you.Not having a problem with color or being open.I just know some of these zoo's like different conditions. And was wondering about this guy care.I know it's the VDM zoo.Which if I'm not mistaken was from Atlantis/Ming ?Also a guy here local said he thought Ming lost his colony, but not sure on that also.Maybe just a rumor? But thanks for all your help here.Just looking for others who might have grown this zoo out.Being it's been around a long time now.

Here's mine

Oh man jelisoner you didn't have to frag that for me. Oh and free with free shipping to boot lmao. But really looking foward to the pics man.

They are mat like. It was hard for me to frag 1-2 poly.
More success in breaking the rock into small pices and breaking away the colony instead of cutting 1-2 polys.

I have had a frag of these for about a year now, started with 2 polyps and now there are only 4. How has the growth of these been for everyone elese? For me it has been extremly slow and sometimes the new babys do not make it.

Wow, that's not a good thing for these Zoo's.If newbies don't make it,seems something is lacking in our systems?I'm farly new back in the zoo scene again.Being doing SPS for years, now strictly LPS corals and the new zoo's of today.Years ago they would over take a tank in no time.Yet what I remember from those years,I used to add Potassium Iodide 1 % from ESV.Zoo's and mushrooms like this stuff. Then along came the Vitamin C?But I'm new back in the Zoo scene maybe others can chime in here as for more feed back?:worried:
