Valonia sp. in freshwater

I imagine that this topic has been brought up more than once but how long can these bubble algae live in a freshwater environment?

If you are asking in the context of a freshwater dip to cure their presence the answer is nobody knows. We add peroxide to fw dips and they have still survived it really depends on too many variables to pinpoint how long dipped valonia rocks can preserve non targets while killing target species.
