Variable Spd port?

I don't know if this can be done.
Can a variable speed port be used to drive a led.I'm trying to save valuable 'real' outlets
I want an led indicating light in a remote location.

I doubt it. The VS ports only put out about 10ma current @ 10vdc.

No, you really don't want to try that; you will likely only burn out the port (or worse).
