VDM Availability ?

Nothing official but usually (speaking from history) there is usually about 6-8 weeks after show announcement before the new gear hits the streets.

If I recall correctly, at MACNA, Curt said they were being released to production by month's end - Not sure how soon thereafter they will be available.

I'm also waiting, the screen shots looked great.

hey tom

did you order the ai interface cable as well? It was the same cable as the one that came with the ai controller.

How many AI fixtures will one VDM control? I don't understand where you plug things into and what type of connections are on each end??

It will control as many ai sol units you have.

You connect the vdm to the first unit, then there's a spot to connect the first to the second and so on. You daisy chain as many as you want.

I have 8 units. If you daisy chain them you won't be able to control them independantly......will be much like it is with the stock controller.

Hi Darren,

Correct - If daisy chaining all IA's together (default method) the VDM would control all of them simultaneously using the same settings. To create independent control of an additional single AI unit, or group of units, you would either need an additional VDM for each unit or group, or you could use the AI controller to manage an additional grouping.
