Vectra L1

I would really like to try a L1 pump when they come out, but I see the output is 1".
My closed loop plumbing is all 1-1/2".
The return plumbing goes to a 1-1/2" header across the back of the tank, with 1" risers going to the bulkheads on the back of my tank.
I can make the pvc tie in to the header using reducers going from the pump's
1" output to the 1-1/2" header near the pump's location inside the stand, but my question is, what would that do to the rated flow?

Also kind of curious with all the pvc I have, how much of the 3100 gph I would loose to head pressure?

Martin,

Thanks for providing the photo of your plumbing, and that's a great looking setup. I have seen several nice head pressure calculators online, and personally I use this one: https://www.pondliner.com/blog/head-pressure-calculator/

Thanks Alex.
But I also am concerned with the dia. of the output of the pump vs. my closed loop header.
I am not going to be able to change the header, nor do I want to.
I can do the tie-ins under the stand.
Is the change in dia. pvc to 1-1/2" going to affect the pumps performance?

Thanks Alex.

According to Tim Marks, the performance numbers-flow rate/ head were done w/o the compression fittings....1 1/2".

According to Tim Marks, the performance numbers-flow rate/ head were done w/o the compression fittings.... so the numbers reflect 1 1/2" output.
