Vectra L2

Hi all.
Planning a 500 gallon peninsula and while I liked my barracuda in the past i don't want to go with such a large (bulky) pump. I am considering two Vectra L2 pumps for return or a Red Dragon 3 speedy.
Any input on these?

The RD3 hands down. You won't be happy with the vectra especially on a 500g. I have one on my 625g and it's not nearly enough for my closed loop. I love my RD3 230w and will be purchasing a second one to replace my vectra.

Thank you, I was planning on two of the Vectras but once I read the specs on the RD I started to lean that way. Wanted to get more input from others before I put it on the list.

I have had my RD3 for 4.5 years and have never had a single issue with it. It's more expensive than the Vectra but worth every penny

I ran a Vectra L1 on a 105g for about a year before I down graded to the M1. I only ran the L1 at 50% or maybe a little under. That being said, I don't think they'll give you the flow you need in a 500g.
