Are folks putting strainer screens on the input side of the Vectra pumps to prevent debris (like a misguided snail) from entering the pump? Any recommendations on which one?

We will have a strainer and barb set for the M1 and L1 available within a few weeks.

I have a Lifegard Aquatics Low Profile Strainer - 1 Inch Slip on mine.
