I have been drip acclimating a Velvet Nudibranch for 2 hours, my SG is 1.025 and the Nudi's water is at 1.024, do I need to drip til it matches perfectly or is this close enough?

1: youve likely killed him dripping him for that long. Drip acclimation is good for killing animals and not much else. All you have to do is match the salinity and temperature, pick the animal up with your hand and drop him in.

2: .001 I would consider within the margin of error for the device you are using to test it, so I would consider that close enough.

stop driping your animals for extended periods of time. Once that bag has been opened you have about 30 minutes give or take to get the animal in new water before the rising nh3 level kills it.

Test your bag water after your done, come back and tell us what the nh3 level in it is. Youd be shocked.

He is fine, currently exploring the substrate. He had only been in the bag for a few hours. LFS advised a 1.5 - 2 hour drip as they are sensitive to sudden changes. Ammonia test kit only slightly changed from clear, not enough to be 0.25 though.

Something I am wondering about these creatures though, when they die do they release toxins that can harm fish/corals?

I dunno about velvets but I do know that sea hares can ink when stressed. The ink is non toxic, however.
