Velvet

I've lost a bi color Angel, flame angel, Anthia, one clown (and looks like soon to be another) to velvet. The only fish I still have in the tank are a chromis and six line and the clown that may not make it. How long should I wait until there are no sick fish in my tank before I can safely add more? Don't know if it's a coincidence but seems that fish are sick the day after I feed my corals with reef snow

are you sure it's velvet and not ich? i asked because once you know your fish has velvet it's probably too late. it's fast. are the chromis and sixline ok for now? you need to transfer them to a hospital tank and treat them. hyposalinity won't work if velvet. so you need to make sure if that's velvet or ich. cupramine will work for both though. your tank needs to be fallowed (without any fish) for 10 weeks before you add any fish again.

Yeah it happens fast. Lost my other clown. Don't have a quarantine tank but thanks for the info

Recently returned to reefing and tried to go without QT/hospital capability. Hah bloody hah. Never again. I've given up 40% of my desk space in my home office as it's the only space I had. Recommend you find a place, anyplace. You'll be glad you did. And good luck!
