Ventilation Question

This spring I will be working on a 255 gal in-wall. Was wondering if anybody had input on my ventilation. Currently my central air system has a fresh air intake from the exterior of the house to the central air unit. I am looking at installing a Fantech PB270 to exhaust the air from the equipment room out. My question is this, do I still need to worry about negative air pressure, or will the vent going to the central air unit make up the difference in air pressures. Or should I put a t in the current fresh air vent that goes to the central air unit and run it to the equipment room? Forgot to add the room will be about 9'x13' Thanks

MX, my fish room is about the same dimensions as yours and my tank is in wall display. I had my AC guy put both vent and return into the room. I failed to add an exhaust fan but would have in retrospect. My tank with a 1hp chiller mounted outside the room stays under 81F easily and the chiller doesn't run more than 2 hours a day probably. The room runs about 86F in the summer months and 84F in the winter. Up til 2 months ago, I ran the fan on the unit that supplied the fish room continuously to turn over air in the room and it worked well. My HVAC guy thought it wouldn't impact the life of the blower. Well, it died after 2 years continuous use so I wouldn't recommend that plan. Definitely ask a HVAC contractor about the fan as I have little knowledge on that topic.

Not sure if this would be anything, but I have been considdering, when i start a build and a fish room, a Package A/C unit for just the fish room. I never heard of such a thing till my brother-in-law bought 2 for his home. His has a built in heater. It is set up to run just like a normal A/C unit but the coils and everything are in one box, so all you need to do is run power, thermostat controlls, and a supply and return duct.

I wouldnt think you would need a huge one, and i know they are on the flebay and CL for reasonable.

Just my thoughts.

I thought about doing that. I think I may just set the room up with the vents so I can add a small portable A/C unit down the road if I need it. The fantech would the cheaper way to go so hopefully that alone will work.
