Venting Fish room

How do you guys vent your fish room? Do they make a temperature controlled vent? Im looking for a vent that only opens when the temperature gets to a certin point then vents the air until it cools down. I usually just leave the door open, but my dog and cats have discovered it and keep taking stuff .:mad2: When i shut the door the temp raise to over 90!

I use a panasonic one sone fan. SUPER quiet. Mine actually vents my aquarium canopy by negative pressure via some 4 inch insulated flexible dryer duct all remotely located. Currently, it runs continously and just cirulates basement air though the canopy, but, I have it set up so my aquacontroller can turn it on and off to maintain a constant temp above the hood. I can also aspirate outside air and / or vent to the outisde using some simple dryer flu vents I found at Menards.

You could do something similar in your fish room if you have any type of controller in there.

Some people have discussed using HRVs for your purpose. That seems like a pretty slick solution if you live in an extreme climate.

With this older unit I can vent humidity from 80% to 50% in 5 minutes. It uses a humidistat that I leave set at around 55%.
