Venustus Angel

Yes they are very hard to keep. The first thing you should look for is to see if he is eating. Not just picking at things but really eating. Thats half the battle. If you can find one that eats grab him.

Thats the hard part! Most stores, atleast here in SOFL, won't even get them in stock b/c they are so sensitive and die very easily(most not making shipping). If you have a lot of Pods or live mysis I was told was the best chance of getting them to eat. This came stright from the creator of Spectrum foods who had 3 of them...2 for the past 4 years...and he said they way to get them to start eating is with live foods...This is my all time favorite fish which one of these days I will keep and get to live! sigh...Good luck and if you do find a health one keep us posted.

I forgot to insert the picture of one of the ones from his tank! Such an Amazing fish! SIGH!!

hello all!

I just found one in my LFS :eek1: they fed him flake in the shop so i know for a fact he eats... now lets see if he is going to nip my clams :strooper:

How is it doing? I actually just picked one of these amazing guys up...it seems to me that they eat pods and stuff off of the rocks...its always swimming around teh tank picking at the glass and rocks. So far all I can get it to eat is live Brine, so Ive been soaking it in some Vitachem. tonight it took a small piece of mysis since Ive been mixing the 2 so hopefully it will make the switch! Any updates on yours??

Mine is doing very well. i bought him due to the fact that he was eating flake so no issues there :D

I'm just having some issues with my shoulder tang getting slightly agro with the rest of the fish and the corals. he actually takes the food out of my elagance and anenamy
