Hello all,
I was looking to upgrade my current ETSS 1000 skimmer to something a little more power friendly. The panworld 200 works great but likes a lot of power.... 300 watts to be exact. So, i'm looking at the new Vertex Alpha 300 cone skimmer from aquarium specialty.

It's rated for 225-600 gallon tanks. I currently have a 180 with about 205 total volume but will be upgrading to a 375- 450 when the new house is completed so i'm trying to think ahead. It seems to be a quality skimmer...being built by Royal-exclusiv and all. So, what is everyone's input. pro's and con's? Good deal? Also, does anyone know if this an internal or external model?
