Vertex Cerebra controller accessories that work for you???

OK. So hopefully we can forego the arguments of viability and comparisons in THIS thread and leave them in the threads that have already been burdened with them.

With that stated I would LOVE to hear about what different people have had success in using with the Cerebra. This would include Vertex and other brand pumps, lighting, probes, sensors, switches, etc. It would be great if you could go into some detail on lighting control profiles, wave profiles and how you have set them up.

Let's get a list together of monitoring devices (probes, PAR meters, sensors, switches, etc) that have been proven to work or not.

Let's also get a list together on controllable devices (leds, wave makers, DC pumps, dosers, etc.) that are functionally controllable (not just on and off through the outlets).

I'd love to start it off but mine is still in the mail. :)

Thanks,
Kevin

I'm using my 0-10v interface to control 2 Jebao RW15s in a long sine wave pattern alternating from 30%-100% back and forth. It works great. For probes, I have pH, ORP, conductivity, and temperature - all Vertex all working all the time. As far as on and off and timed events, I was controlling ATO, kalkreactor, and ozone generator with no issues. Was, since my air pump and ATO both died (Coralife Luft pump pos for my purposes, and Tunze Osmolator control box got wet). Also controlling my return pump which is a Waveline DC12000 and my skimmer feed and venturi pumps and heaters and skimmer swabbie. All without issues. That's about it.

So the skimmer, heater, and swabbie are controlled through the power outlets. Is the speed of the return pump being controlled through Cerebra or just on/off through the outlet?

How are the RW-15's connected to the 0-10v interface? Is there a Jebao module that plugs inline with the original controller or is it DIY?

Kevin

It's an older Waveline DC12000 Gen II. Just on and off. I don't have the controller ready module that you can now get with it.

The RW15s go through the FishStreet controller interface and then a DIY RJ45 to RJ11 cable.

You have to ask for it. I don't know if it's listed easily on their site anymore. Google Jebao to Apex interface. Could be $30-$60 can't really remember. There's a whole thread in the Vertex forums on how to make the cable.
